Calm. Focused. Decaf.

What is decaf, really?

Decaffeinated coffee is exactly what it sounds like — real coffee with almost all of the caffeine gently removed. Not a substitute, not a compromise. The beans are grown, roasted, and brewed like any other speciality coffee. They simply skip the part that keeps you wired.

“Decaf” doesn’t mean caffeine-free. Noctra is 99% decaffeinated, so only a trace remains — a fraction of what a regular cup carries. Enough to keep the soul of the coffee. Not enough to steal your sleep.

But what’s wrong with caffeine?

Nothing — and everything.

Coffee itself is good company. It’s rich in antioxidants, woven into our daily rituals, and there’s real comfort in the cup. But let’s be honest about why most of us actually reach for it: the boost. That jolt of alertness that carries us through the morning, or rescues us from the 4 p.m. slump.

That boost is caffeine doing its thing — and caffeine rarely works for free.

It’s behind the jitters, the restlessness, the bloating, and the energy that spikes then drops you flat an hour later. It can turn the dial up on anxiety. And it’s the reason coffee so often comes with an asterisk — for those who are pregnant, for kids, or for anyone whose sleep is already hard enough to come by.

Here’s the quiet realisation Noctra is built on: almost everything you love about coffee has nothing to do with caffeine. The aroma. The warmth. The ritual. The antioxidants. The taste.

So we kept all of that — and left the caffeine behind. Everything good about coffee. None of the fine print.

How Noctra decaf is made

100% Arabica

Single-origin, sourced from the hills of Chikmagalur, Karnataka.

Chemical-free CO₂

Caffeine removed with supercritical carbon dioxide — no harsh solvents. The aroma, oils, and character of the bean stay intact.

Medium roast

Balanced and smooth, roasted to draw out caramel, citrus, roasted almond, and cocoa.

Ground to order

Whole beans, espresso, moka pot, drip filter, aeropress, or french press.

The result is a cup that tastes the way coffee is supposed to. Rich, full-bodied, and quiet.

Frequently asked questions

What is decaf coffee?

Decaf coffee is real coffee, not a substitute. It starts life exactly like regular coffee, except that almost all of its caffeine is gently removed before roasting. At Noctra, we believe you shouldn't have to choose between great coffee and feeling your best. That's why our coffee delivers the same comforting ritual, rich aroma and satisfying flavour — with up to 99.8% less caffeine.

How is caffeine removed from Noctra coffee?

We use the Supercritical CO₂ Process. Food-grade carbon dioxide is placed under high pressure until it reaches a supercritical state, where it selectively removes caffeine while preserving much of the coffee's natural flavour, aroma and oils. The result is a beautifully balanced cup without the chaos of caffeine.

Why did Noctra choose the CO₂ Process?

Because great decaf should never taste like a compromise. The CO₂ Process is recognised for preserving flavour while efficiently removing caffeine without leaving solvent residues. It's also chemical-free, giving you a clean cup.

Does decaf still contain caffeine?

Yes — but only a tiny amount. Noctra removes up to 99.8% of the caffeine, leaving only trace amounts that are significantly lower than regular coffee.

Is Noctra specialty coffee?

Yes — unlike most instant decaf coffees in the Indian market, Noctra is a high quality Indian Specialty decaf. It's made from AA quality 100% Arabica beans, single-origin from Chikmagalur. Our focus is premium quality, great flavour and consistency, carefully selecting beans that deliver a satisfying cup after decaffeination.

Will Noctra taste like real coffee?

Absolutely. We use premium 100% Arabica beans and the CO₂ process to retain the coffee's aroma, body and flavour, delivering a satisfying cup that doesn't feel like a compromise.

Who is Noctra made for?

Anyone who loves coffee but wants less caffeine — especially evening coffee drinkers, people sensitive to caffeine, wellness-conscious consumers, those wanting multiple cups a day, and people with health concerns like BP and anxiety. If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, this can be your go-to, but do consult your healthcare professional. Noctra is also a safer choice for children compared to regular coffee.

Can I drink Noctra before bed?

Many people do, since it contains only trace amounts of caffeine. Individual sensitivity varies.

Does decaffeination remove antioxidants?

Only minimally. Most of coffee's naturally occurring antioxidants remain after decaffeination.

Which brewing methods work best?

Espresso, French Press, Pour Over, AeroPress, Moka Pot, Cold Brew and drip coffee makers all work beautifully — just choose the correct grind for your brewer.

How many cups does each pack make?

A 100g pack makes about 5-6 cups and a 250g pack about 12-14 cups, using 18-20g of coffee per cup. Actual yield varies by recipe.

How should I store my coffee?

Keep the bag sealed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Avoid refrigeration. Enjoy within 4–6 weeks after opening for the best flavour.

What is the shelf life?

12 months unopened. Refer to the pack for the best-before date.

How can I trust Noctra is genuinely 99.8% decaffeinated?

Our coffee is processed using internationally recognised CO₂ decaffeination technology through trusted partners with stringent quality controls and lab verification. We regularly get our batches tested to ensure the promised decaffeination level.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are generally dispatched within 1–2 business days and delivered within 2–7 business days across India.

How can I track my order?

You'll receive an email and/or SMS with a tracking link once your order has been shipped.
